Both gardens have an excellent view on the city of Florence

A long cypress lane with sculptures at both sides

Isolotto, the island fountain with a statue of Oceanus. Under the main statue there are allegorical sculptures of Euphrates, Nile and Ganges.

There are also some cottage gardens and a vegetable garden near the entrance to Chateau Chenonceau.

. size: medium
. it lies in Settignano near Florence

Photos from April 2016

roses, lemon trees in pots, white wisterias and cypresses

In the moonlight,
the color and scent of the wisteria
seems far away.

Yosa Buson

The garden as it looks today was made by Caponi family in 18th centure.

The most famous part of Gamberaia garden are water basins ending in a green wall with a window. The views over Tuscany get even more charming when there is only a certain point from which you can see it.
